U.S. firm Ocean Infinity carried out a 90 day search operation, with officials promising a £52.3 million ($70million) "finders fee" for any new details of the missing plane.

It has been carried out by Ocean Infinity - a US-based company.

According to CBS News, private search firm, Ocean Infinity, of Texas, said Tuesday it would stop looking for the plane, which vanished off of radar during a March 8, 2014 flight between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Bejing, China.

Ocean Infinity was contacted after a combined search by Australia, China and Malaysia ended previous year.

Loke said the agreement with Ocean Infinity was on a "no cure, no fee" basis, meaning if the aircraft was found, Malaysia would have had to pay the company US$70 million.

"The search area was selected by leading oceanographers based upon drift analysis of the debris from MH370, the only actual evidence that exists", Ocean Infinity said.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said he hoped a final report into the plane's disappearance by an independent global investigation team would be published by July. "A part of our motivation for renewing the search was to attempt to present some solutions to these affected", Plunkett mentioned in a press release.

"While clearly the end result to date is extraordinarily disappointing, as an organization, we're really pleased with what we have now achieved each when it comes to the standard of knowledge we have produced and the velocity with which we coated such an enormous space", Plunkett mentioned.

PM Mohamad said that although it is impossible to search for something that can not be found, however, if new evidence emerges then the search operations for the missing flight may resume.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke wants the full investigation report on the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 to be ready soon. "So far, there has not been any such development", said Prahlad adding that he is being regularly updated by the Malaysian authorities on the search operation.

Voice 370, a group representing the relatives of those aboard the flight, has pressed the new Malaysian government to review all matters related to MH370, including "any possible falsification or elimination of records related to MH370 and its maintenance".

"I can assure you the final report will be published with full disclosure".

K S Narendran, whose wife Chandrika Sharma was on MH370, said, "I am barely able to contain my deep sense of betrayal".

Nathan and Narendran said China and India should contribute to a new search for the plane. "The commitment that the new government in Malaysia has made to prioritizing finding MH370 was very good to hear".

Peter Foley, who headed the Australian Transport Safety Bureau's search, told the Australian Senate that "control inputs" flew the airliner off course.

In 2015, Malaysian investigators had said that they found nothing suspicious in financial, medical, or personal histories of the pilots or flight crew.
