Bottas' second also sees him jump back above Ricciardo into third in the standings, albeit 35 and 37 points behind respectively.

Max Verstappen kept close to Bottas as best he could - and later confessed to a little bit of contact between his Red Bull and the Mercedes at the start, shrugging it off with, "That's racing, isn't it?"

Kimi Raikkonen finished sixth, followed by the Renault teammates of Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz Jr.in seventh and eighth.
