Kylian Mbappe became France's youngest goal-scorer in FIFA World Cup history as they beat Peru 1-0 in a Group C match here on Thursday to enter the pre-quarterfinals.

FW Olivier Giroud, 7 - He did not get a goal, but he was involved in the build-up to Mbappe's and was combative in attack all match long.

Peru will be hoping to give their supporters, a reported 40,000 of whom have travelled to Russian Federation, something to shout about in the final group match against Australia, who can still qualify ahead of Denmark with victory in Sochi.

Gallese prevented Lucas Hernandez from doubling the France lead as Peru ended the first half on the ropes.
