On the heels of reporting surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers and an aggressive trade pursuit of Kawhi Leonard before LeBron James acts on a player option for the 2018-19 National Basketball Association season, buzz is building that James' arrival in the nation's second-largest market could be dictated by another star (i.e. Leonard or Paul George) coming alongside him.

The Lakers are Leonard's preferred destination but they didn't have a good initial conversation with the Spurs.

San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard has already established he wants to be traded, multiple reports have confirmed.

Joel Embiid Rejects Comparisons to Deandre Ayton
I see you need some pieces. "Going through the process of going to the U of A and the fans support me, it was just phenomenal". If Porter Jr.is a " loser " for slipping to No. 14, then we can simultaneously consider the Denver Nuggets winners .

ESPN reported that the Spurs have not been in a rush to trade Leonard, but that they are open to dealing him to any team for the right price, contrary to a report that said they might only trade him to an Eastern Conference team. And with ESPN reporting that James "remains hesitant" to be the first superstar to sign this summer, the situation could turn the Lakers more proactive.

The Lakers believe that landing Leonard could help them attract free agents like LeBron James and Paul George this offseason.

What exactly would that offer be? A third team could take a Laker and send the Spurs a preferable player or draft pick.

Brazil to kick off this 17/2 World Cup treble
All Brazil needs is a draw, while Serbia can advance with a draw as long as Switzerland loses by two goals to Costa Rica. Cost Rica are the weakest side in Group E for my money, and that's despite their heroics four years ago.

Kawhi Leonard #2 of the San Antonio Spurs dribbles past Julius Randle #30 of the Los Angeles Lakers during the second half of a game at Staples Center on November 18, 2016 in Los Angeles. The Lakers could have to surrender a combination of former first-round picks - from Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart - and future first-round picks and perhaps restricted free agent Julius Randle in a sign-and-trade agreement. He put up averages of 10.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game as a rookie. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said on "The Rich Eisen Show" that it's unlikely Gregg Popovich would coach one of Lavar Ball's sons with the Spurs.

As the gulf between the San Antonio Spurs and Kawhi Leonard grows, the race to land the All-Star forward is pushing forward.
