Dog Saves Owner from Rattlesnake Attack, Becomes a Hero

Paula Godwin treated her golden retriever Todd to a hike Friday morning in Anthem, Arizona. She even posted a live video on Facebook sharing about her morning walk wishing everyone a happy day.

Todd jumped to protect Godwin and was bitten in the face in the process, Godwin says. Instead, the snake bit Todd in the face, and Godwin was uninjured.

This golden retriever has a heart of gold.

Godwin sought medical treatment for Todd immediately, and she said the fearless pup is expected to fully recover.

In a more-recent Facebook post, Godwin provided an update on Todd's recovery saying, "Thank you so much seriously wow Todd is recovering so well this was yesterday at the park".

According to AZ Family, Paula Goodwin was walking with her dogs in Anthem when she nearly stepped on a rattlesnake.
