Netflix may soon introduce Ultra plan for subscribers

The company now offers three subscription plans for the users which include Base, Standard, and Premium.

It is a leap forward from the Premium plan which was the most advanced to date.

The Netflix Ultra plan is expected to be priced around Dollars 19.80.

That's three euros higher than the highest-price plan now offered. A website named, found out the changes are applied for those who are staying in European countries as well, which includes Germany and also made a note regarding the different prices along with the various features that are listed.

Not all Netflix users will see the test-tier, and the company may well never offer the specific price points or features being tested. Netflix has many series available in 4K and several, including "Luke Cage" and "Glow", in HDR. Netflix, which doesn't have an abundance of HDR content, now doesn't charge for HDR video.

Netflix is testing a new "Ultra" plan in Europe that would support 4K ultra-high-definition video on four simultaneous streams, along with high dynamic range (HDR).

So, Netflix may not even officially roll out these specific options for the "Ultra" plan or expand it to the USA, but there seems to be numerous test versions of it floating around for users in European countries. One version of "Ultra" offers four 4K streams and cuts the "Premium" plan to two streams.

Wall Street analysts have said Netflix has some wiggle room for higher prices.

Also noteworthy is that the release of Netflix Ultra plan is not yet 100% official. Netflix seems to be testing two different prices based on the user's browser: €16.99 and €19.99 per month.
