George Clooney injured in scooter accident in Italy's Sardinia, released from hospital
George was riding Tuesday morning on the Italian island of Sardinia when the auto turned in front of him and reportedly hit him. George and Amal were seen arrive in the island on a private jet at the end of June with their twins Alexander and Ella .

Many have pointed to The Killing Joke as the basis for the film's origin story, but that seems to be questionable. Pictures announced today that Joaquin Phoenix will star in an origin story of one of DC's most notorious Super-Villains, the Joker. This will give Warner Bros. another chance to redeem itself following the disappointing Justice League and Suicide Squad films; the latter of which was widely criticized for its handling of Jared Leto's Joker. Martin Scorsese is on board as a producer, which helped bring a lot of attention to it early on before Joaquin Phoenix was even attached to the part. Shooting reportedly starts in September in NY.

That's a small budget compared to other superhero blockbusters, but the studio intends for this movie to be more of a "gritty character study" than a standard superhero flick. While we wait to get some official looks at this new take on the character once filming gets underway, be sure to check out the art from BossLogic's Twitter account for yourself below.

There is no release date as yet, which is unusual for a comic book film, although all signs point to this being quite different from the current DC and Marvel offerings.
