Liverpool's Danny Ings joins Southampton on loan

Liverpool have confirmed that Danny Ings has joined Southampton on an initial one year loan deal set to become permanent next summer, when Southampton will pay £20m for the striker.

Ings will spend the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Southampton before a £20 million transfer kicks in on July 1, 2019, a source has told ESPN FC. He has signed a four-year contract and could make his debut for his new club against former side Burnley on Saturday.

The source added that the fee will include £18m guaranteed with a further £2m in add-ons based on appearances.
