LG unveils the V40 ThinQ with five cameras

It will ship on October 19 for the United States with prices starting at $900 (£690). Much like the iPhone, the LG V40 ThinQ comes with portrait lighting features out of the box in default settings, so that's something new. The rest is largely identical to LG's existing flagship phones.

AI isn't something new but the AI CAM built into the LG V40 ThinQ has an AI Composition feature which can frame, capture and recommend an alternative shot to the one taken by the user.

On the other hand, LG believes that its next-generation flagship smartphone has all the features it needs to compete against everyone, including Google and OnePlus. The V40 ThinQ is just the answer for Android lovers who were looking for a smartphone with minimal bezel and a huge screen to display. This is the first smartphone from the company to have five cameras in total, three on the back and two in front.

Talking about the specifications of the LG V40 ThinQ, the company previously announced that the new phone would feature a 6.4-inch display.

Both devices have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and both have a 3120 x 1440 resolution.

The LG V40 reminds us of the LG G7, which was released earlier this year. But if the G7 were used IPS-matrix, the V40 received a POLED panel with a diagonal of 6.4 inches.

This V40 ThinQ combines a 16MP super wide angle, 12MP standard angle, and 12MP telephoto cameras on its rear to form a three-camera setup.
