Jamal Khashoggi: Saudi journalist's body parts found, say Sky sources

Father-of-three Khashoggi, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 2 in order to obtain documents for his planned marriage.

An Erdogan adviser, Yasin Aktay, wrote in the Yeni Safak daily that Riyadh's version of events "feels like our intelligence is being mocked". "We need answers", he said.

The Khashoggi case has fanned the flames of a dispute between Saudi Arabia and Canada, which escalated to new levels after Riyadh abruptly cut ties with Ottawa over its criticism of the Saudi crackdown on dissent.

He and Khashoggi's brother Sahel were also greeted by Saudi King Salman, after the royals invited them to the palace to offer their condolences. They're two young guys. Last week, they changed their story and admitted that Khashoggi had been killed by Saudi agents in the consulate.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed to reveal more details about the police investigation into Khashoggi's alleged murder.

When the Saudi team left the consulate, one of the team members got dressed in Khashoggi's clothing and left the consulate, pretending to be him. On Monday, CNN released footage supplied by the Turkish government that showed the Saudis had a body double leave the consulate dressed in Khashoggi's clothes after he had disappeared. For Saudi Arabia's allies, the question will be whether they believe that Prince Mohammed, who has painted himself as a reformer, has any culpability.

Even Trump, however, acknowledges that Kushner's work on trying to craft peace between Israel and the Palestinians has been set back by Khashoggi's death.
