Meg Ryan And John Mellencamp Announce Their Engagement

Ryan announced her engagement to legendary music artist John Mellencamp on Thursday (Nov. 8) with a hand-drawn picture posted on her Instagram page.

It looks like longtime lovers Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp are making things official.

Ryan was previously married to actor Dennis Quaid, while Mellencamp is thrice divorced.

The 56-year-old actress was spotted proudly flaunting her engagement ring while out and about in New York City on Friday. Prior to confirming their relationship that year, the Jack and Diane singer opened up about Meg's feelings towards him during an interview with Howard Stern.

And Meg Ryan can't stop showing off her brand new bling.

After 7 years of dating, Meg Ryan made the announcement in a simple and artistic way. "She hates me to death". Her new bling was also accompanied by a gold band with diamonds, sparking speculation the pair already tied the knot. "She just doesn't want anything to do with me, and I don't blame her".
