'Airwolf' star Jan-Michael Vincent dead at age 74, report says

Denver born Actor Jan-Michael Vincent, who starred in the 1980s show "Airwolf", has died.

Vincent died on 10 February, according to his death certificate.

In 1984, Vincent was cast as the daring pilot Stringfellow "String" Hawke, who flew the titular Airwolf helicopter and led its crew on daring espionage missions. At one point, Vincent was the highest paid actor on network television, pulling in $200,000 per episode.

The actor began his rise to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with film roles, including the cult classic surfing/coming-of-age film "Big Wednesday" (opposite Gary Busey and William Katt), and guest spots on numerous TV series. Vincent started seeking help for drug and alcohol problems while he was still on the show.

After a stint in the California Army National Guard, Vincent made his acting debut in 1967. His other memorable roles include "Hard Country", which he co-starred with Kim Basinger in 1981 along with the 1978 film, "Hopper", with Burt Reynolds. His last credited role was in 2002's White Boy.

In 2012, he contracted a leg infection that required him to have his right leg amputated below the knee.

Trump was fresh off a trip to Hanoi, Vietnam , where he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for their second summit. Democratic presidential candidates so far have not focused on the investigation on the campaign trail.

He is survived by his third wife, Patricia Ann Christ, and a daughter from his first marriage.
