While there was some concern for the woman and her newly-scarred arm, a lot of online commotion was built up over the future of the jaguar. The Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Arizona responded to her.

Paramedics were called to treat the woman for lacerations to her arm.

The zoo said the victim was attempting to take a photo when the incident occurred.

Kristy Morcom, spokesperson for Wildlife World Zoo, said barriers around animal enclosures are put in place for the safety of both the guests and animals. CBS affiliate KPHO reports the woman is expected to recover.

"This is the second time the female jaguar has swiped at someone this month", Wildlife World Zoo Director Mickey Ollson told ABC15.

Adam Wilkerson's video capture of woman attacked by jaguar at an Arizona zoo. "Everyone yelling for help", he wrote in a Reddit post. "I grabbed it and started to push it into the cage... and so that's when she took her one paw off and grabbed the bottle with the mouth", witness Michele Flores said.

Instead of pulling the woman, Wilkerson was quick-thinking and made a decision to distract the jaguar.

In an effort to distract the jaguar, Wilkerson said, his mother ran up behind him and shoved her water bottle through the cage.
