Facebook, Instagram accounts working after historic outage

Earlier this morning, Pavel Durov, the eccentric founder of Telegram posted a message to his account celebrating the flood of new users, taking the opportunity to say his service has "true privacy and unlimited space for everyone".

In 2008, Facebook was knocked offline by a bug that affected many of its 80 million users. It didn't elaborate on the server change.
