Royal County Down's Olivia Mehaffey will make history tomorrow as one of the first women to ever play a competitive round of golf at Augusta National after she qualified for the final round of the first annual Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship. The players all played a practice round at Augusta National on Friday with the top 30 players moving on to Saturday's final round.

Kupcho chose to use an Augusta National caddie instead of her father for the final round, the same caddie she had when she played with the Wake Forest team as guests.

World No. 1 Jennifer Kupcho (Denver, Colo.) takes a 1-shot lead into the final round and will be paired with No. 5 Maria Fassi of Mexico.

After pars at 17, Kupcho would close out the historic round in style by rolling in a long range birdie putt at the last to seal a comfortable victory.

Kupcho joined Fassi on seven under par after an eagle at the 13th before reeling off birdies at 15, 16 and 18 to jump to 10 under and clinch the title.

He took an Uber to Yankee Stadium and arrived about two hours later after telling his driver to use a heavy foot. Wade was angry when he was optioned to Scranton on March 24 after hitting.308 in spring training.

Fassi fired rounds of 70-70-70=210 finishing four shots back of the victor.

"You are now part of history of Augusta National along with all the great Masters champions who have been right here in this Butler Cabin", Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said as he presented Kupcho with her trophy in the same location where the Masters champion is presented with the winner's green jacket.

Augusta only relaxed its male-only policy back in 2012, when former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was one of the first women allowed to become a member of the club, and hosting its first tournament for women was the next big step, announced at last year's Masters. She picked up another stroke on the par-4 1st, but she missed a short birdie putt on her 11th hole, the second of the Island Nine, and struggled with her swing after that.

Sorenstam and Lopez admitted they were in tears before hitting their tee shots.

The SoundCloud name Emo G is a play on emoji, a callback to a Musk joke from earlier in the weekend. On his way out the door, Musk told reporters that he was "impressed" with Judge Nathan's analysis.

Augusta National has previously barred women from playing at the home of the Masters until 2012.

"It's just a great moment in golf for women amateurs to be able to have this opportunity", Lopez said.

"I think both of us just wanted to send the message that golf is about having friends, and to be out there with her, we were cheering each other on, and that's kind of how golf is supposed to be", Kupcho said.

"I think anything that does that is good for society".
