U.S. Secret Service Director Randolph "Tex" Alles will be stepping down from his post, the latest in a string of departures from President Trump's administration.

President Donald Trump fired Secret Service Director Randolph Alles on Monday, according to ABC News, which reported that a law enforcement official stated Alles was informed of the decision roughly two weeks ago. "Mr. Alles will be leaving shortly and President Trump has selected James M. Murray, a career member of the USSS, to take over as director beginning in May", she said.

Alles departure comes just one day after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's own ouster was announced by Trump via a tweet.
