UK Chancellor Defends Spending Billons On Preparation For No-Deal Brexit

Pro-Brexit British politician Nigel Farage on Friday launched a campaign for an election that may never take place to an institution he routinely insults - the contest for United Kingdom seats in the European Parliament.

The officials spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss the closed-door negotiations.

European Council President Donald Tusk acknowledged as much when he delivered a message to Britain: "Please do not waste this time". May came to the summit in Brussels seeking a delay to June 30.

She stressed: "Unsurprisingly many of our European partners share the deep frustration that I know so many of us feel in this house over the current impasse". The party accuses the government of failing to offer concrete changes to its Brexit blueprint.
